Green Owl Toys specialise in unique toys for children up to the age of 10 years. The focus is on using natural and sustainably sourced materials made with quality in mind. They are an agent for Bajo wooden toys and a distributor for Granna and of course their own brand “Green Owl Toys”, shields and swords.
Nugget Design were appointed to review the brand identity and packaging for Green Owl Toys successful range of products. The aim was to create the new logo to better convey the company, it’s future aims and how it wants be perceived.
The company had a fantastic reputation and was doing well, however the current logo didn’t reflect the company’s core values nor was it suitable for packaging.
Our aim was to produce a brand identity that could easily be reproduced on any platform, simple to print for packaging and that was better aligned to the company moto “Beautiful handcrafted wooden toys”. This required us to revise the logo and strip it back to its minimal form without losing any of the qualities that give the ‘green owl’ its personality.
Once we had established the revised identity we were able to develop a fun range of stationery and packaging utilising a single colour and producing it on natural recycled card. This helps the company stay true to its own values “natural and sustainably sourced materials “ and creates a stronger more consistent and recognisable brand.
Nugget design were also responsible for the identity, stationery, swing tags, packaging look and feel and supporting Green Owl Toys with their marketing material and exhibition stand. With all the technology today it is important for us to encourage imaginative play and build on this brand and encourage the children. “Dragons Beware” was a great caption which we enjoyed playing on and building the brand around. Especially during the photoshoot.
Our client is very happy with the brands transformation, her clients response and the increased sales. We look forward to working on the next phase of work soon.
